What to Wear at Diner En Blanc
As the name suggests, Diner en Blanc is an all-white affair. This means that your outfit should be head-to-toe white - no exceptions! Many people choose to go with elegant dresses or even borrowed gowns for this special occasion, but get creative with your look and have fun with it. Remember, this is a party, so don't be afraid to dress up and go all out!
Your outfit must be all white, from head to toe (including shoes and accessories). No other colours (including off-white or cream) are acceptable. If your outfit matches a piece of plain white paper, you’re on the right track! T-shirts, athletic shoes, baseball caps and casual shorts, as well as any non-white or colourful items, are prohibited.
What to Bring at Diner En Blanc
If you've never been to Diner en Blanc before, you might be wondering what to expect. First and foremost, it's important to remember that this event is BYOE (bring your own everything including food/tableware/folding chairs/decor). As for the food, most people curate their own menu and then mingle and socialize with fellow guests. And of course, don't forget to bring something sweet for dessert!
Guests must bring:
A table, two white chairs, and white tablecloth.
A picnic basket comprising fine food and proper stemware and white dinnerware.
A catered picnic basket option, which can be picked up on site, will be available for those who do not wish to pack their own. Guests wishing to do so must reserve online through Le Dîner en Blanc’s e-store.
